Planning Commission

The Elko New Market Planning Commission is made up of five local volunteers, all appointed by the City Council.  The Planning Commission typically holds monthly meetings to discuss and make recommendations on matters affecting:

 

·         zoning

·         subdivisions

·         building

·         land use development

·         comprehensive plans

 

The Planning Commission meets at 7:00 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month, with the exception of December.  The December Planning Commission meets at 7:00 p.m. on the first Tuesday.  If you plan on attending a meeting, please contact City Hall at (952) 461-2777 to verify that the meeting is still scheduled.
