Spring Clean Up

Whom: Open to Residents of City of Elko New Market and New Market Township


Things you can bring include:

  • Furniture (including mattresses and box springs)
  • Household items including housewares, toys, clothing and bedding
  • Scrap metal
  • Air conditioners, refrigerators, microwave ovens and other household appliances
  • Tires with or without rims
  • Consumer electronics: computers, monitors, peripherals (keyboards, mice, speakers, etc.), printers, cell phones, DVD/VCR players, fax machines and televisions
  • Automotive batteries (ONLY)


List of items that are NOT accepted:

  • Tractor tires
  • Propane tanks
  • Hazardous waste (used motor oil, paints, etc.)
  • Construction debris
  • Yard waste
  • Batteries (Household)


Fees:

  • $25/consumer electronic device
  • $25/appliance
  • $35/carload
  • $45/pickup or trailer (8' or less)
  • $5/tire


FREE YARD WASTE COLLECTION
In conjunction with Spring Clean-up, the garbage service providers in Elko New Market (Buckingham Companies, Dick's Sanitation, and Waste Management) will be doing a free yard waste cleanup. Each garbage provider will notify their customers of the date of pick up.

The garbage providers will pick up the following:

  • Leaves
  • Grass Clippings
  • Branches (3' lengths bundled)

Please use compostable brown paper bags for leaves and grass clippings. Please, NO PLASTIC BAGS. Bags must be curbside by 7:00 a.m. for pick up.
