New Prague Household Organics Site
Residents of the City of Elko New Market may participate in a new Household Organics Site. Scott County recently awarded a grant to the City of New Prague to create a household organics site, which is free and open to all Scott and Le Sueur County residents. The purpose of this facility is to allow residents to dispose of their food waste.
The site officially opens on October 28, 2023 with a ribbon cutting ceremony to be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Learn more about the importance of organics recycling and pre-register to pick-up your access key at the event.
After October 28th, residents must register online and come to New Prague City Hall located at 118 Central Avenue North to pick up their key. To verify residency of Scott or Le Sueur County, residents must provide a valid ID or a utility bill.
