Parks Commission

The Elko New Market Parks Commission is made up of five local volunteers, all appointed by the City Council. The Parks Commission typically holds monthly meetings to discuss and make recommendations on matters affecting:

  • Ordinances related to Parks & Recreation
  • Park Development
  • Park, Trail, and Recreational Facilities Maintenance
  • Parkland Dedication and Acquisition
  • Long and Short Range Plans


The Parks Commission meets at 6:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month. If you plan on attending a meeting, please contact City Hall at (952) 461-2777 to verify that the meeting is still scheduled.
